Allegra, Reiki Master Teacher
Allegra has been practicing Reiki for 10 years. A longtime yogini, she is a Kriyaban and also a Laughter Yoga Teacher. She has studied Ayurveda, Marma and Thai Massage and is a practitioner of Buddhism and mindfulness. She is currently working toward her 400-hour Yoga Teacher Training.
Allegra is originally from New York and has a background in art history. She was exposed to meditation at an early age by her family, who have been visiting India since the 1960's, and started America's first Transcendental Meditation school on behalf of the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in Connecticut in the 1970s. Allegra no longer practices Transcendental Meditation but is grateful for the early roots in spiritual practice.
After a brief but intense stint in New York's corporate world in her early twenties, Allegra ventured to India on a personal and spiritual pilgrimage in 2011, where she met Jason and several other meditation and Yoga teachers and lived for 5 years.
She has a textile import business, Samadhi Woven, and enjoys helping on her family's farm in Connecticut, Laurel Ridge Farm.

Jason and Allegra have been life and work partners for 12 years and have a five year old son together. Together they enjoy deepening spiritual practice, traveling, and spending time in Nature.
