LEVEL ONE
The course takes approximately 10 hours to complete, spread over two days.
We provide a safe, fun, informal and relaxed learning environment. We practice experiential learning and aim to produce confident and well-informed Reiki practitioners.
No prior spiritual knowledge or training is necessary for enrollment on this course. Meditation training is given, as well as energy and breath awareness practices. For many this is a great introduction to meditation and energy work. People who are new to these concepts are often amazed at the possibilities presented to them. For many this is the first time they have realised their energetic potential and sensitivity.
The mornings are spent meditating, practicing energy movement and breath awareness.
The afternoons are spent doing practical experiments, and hands-on healing practice.
On the first afternoon, the students practice on each other.
On the second afternoon, the students get hands-on experience working with someone new to them.
It is expected that by the second afternoon a student has the ability to sense energetic blocks, imbalances and pain within another person’s body. This is a prerequisite for Reiki Level Two. A Reiki One certificate is awarded to each student who completes the course, regardless of their level of sensitivity. In the unlikely event that a level of sensitivity has not been reached, we request that you practice more before commencing Level Two training.
You can download the Reiki Level One manual. This manual contains all the background information and theory necessary for the student. During the course, we maximize practical activities, and do not spend time lecturing, reading or taking notes. Hard copies will be loaned out for the duration of the course, and can also be purchased.
