Just for Today: Living the Five Pureland Buddhist Precepts
Cultivating mindfulness and being in the present moment… These sound like wonderful concepts, but how to implement them in our daily life? During this five-day retreat, we will explore five Precepts of Pureland Buddhism: Just for today, do not anger, do not worry, work honestly, respect all life, and cultivate an attitude of gratitude.
Your Holiday Will Include:
Return transport from a local train station (Zernez, Switzerland or Tirano, Italy)
5 Nights / 5 Days Accommodation
Daily Qi Gong
Daily Meditation and Awareness Instruction
Yoga Nidra
Laughter Yoga
Hiking
Daily Sauna
Each day we will focus on one of these aspects. We will explore these topics with the help of the teachings of Echkart Tolle, Jiddu Krishnamurti, Thich Nhat Hanh, the Advaita masters, and others. Drawing on years of awareness practice, direct contact with living masters, years of nature-living, and our respective tools of Zen, Advaita, Reiki, Qi Gong, Yoga and Kriya Yoga, we will share what we’ve learned with simplicity and humour.
Beyond the five days’ exploration of each Precept, we will delve into Choiceless Awareness non-practice in a variety of settings. Eating, hiking, walking, brushing our teeth, riding the bus: each moment reveals to us a gateway to step into timelessness.

About your Hosts:
Jason and Allegra met in India four years ago. They have been living primarily in India since then, spending most of their time in the Himalaya.
Hiking has long been a passion for each of them; Jason grew up walkng in the Yorkshire Lakes District, and Allegra grew up hiking around the Livigno valley. Jason has since trekked extensively in Nepal, India, Malaysia, Norway, Spain and France; Allegra has walked the Camino de Santiago and hiked around India, Malaysia, the Alps, Yosemite, and the American Northeast.
The pair have spent years with their Zen master in the Himalayas, receiving instruction on Choiceless Awareness meditation. They find this awareness practice has improved their Reiki flow and brought more peace and joy to their daily lives. To read more about the Zen teacher, Da Dennis Trisker, see the Teachers page.
Past students and guests have called Jason and Allegra "down-to-earth" and said several other nice things you can see on the Testimonials page. To read their extended bio's, see the Pureland Reiki Team page.
Why doesn't it cost more?
An excellent question - with such good quality accomodation and instruction, why doesn't this cost more?
It's simple - we have been living in India and Asia for several years, and we are offering discounted retreats with the hope of making new friends in Europe.
